Zoo Tube

When Animal Planet and the Association of Zoos and Aquariums chose to showcase animal life in kiosks at zoos around the country, they selected Sapling Pictures to produce fun and entertaining segments that would grab visitors’ attention. Filming five different topics over a span of three days at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, Sapling provided comprehensive services including research, script writing, scouting, directing, crew management, design and audio mixing.

But since animals don’t take direction very well, creative methods were used to get the best shots of the animals without disturbing them and to stay on schedule. The resulting pieces are both educational and entertaining. In fact, due to Animal Planet’s unique brand and Sapling’s successful production, additional Zoo Tube kiosks were placed in zoos around the United States for visitors to view.
