Audio specialist, Kim Howell Cates knows how to put the bang, pop and sizzle into a piece. Her expertise in adding texture, depth and excitement comes from a variety of experiences working in audio post-production. And that's why we're excited to have Kim as a creative partner.

Kim began her career as an audio assistant at North Star Post and Sound in Wilmington, N.C., where she worked with such clients as Paramount Pictures, Twentieth Century Fox, Harpo Productions, and Sony Pictures Television.  In 2001, she joined Henninger Media Services in Arlington, VA, where she was quickly promoted to Narration Recordist, Sound Designer and Audio Mixer, There she worked with a wide variety of prominent clients and exciting projects, including National Geographic, Discovery Channel, PBS, and the National Park Service, as well as corporate, non-profit, and political projects.

After freelancing for a couple of years, Kim formed Whitfield Audio Post, Inc. where she continues to broaden her client base nationwide. Consistently hitting the mark and always up for a new challenge, Kim brings a level of commitment and professionalism that helps Sapling’s clients succeed.

When she’s not mixing, Kim enjoys teaching yoga, playing piano, knitting, and spending time with family and friends—especially when coffee is involved.
